Costs

The cost of installing and setting up the necessary equipment for each household is £495.  If broadband is not available via the phone line, the set up costs can be met by a grant from the Broadband Support Scheme run by the Welsh Assembly Government (www.wales.gov.uk/broadband).  For household not qualifying for grants a cheaper DIY installation option is available.

The monthly cost of the service is £10 for connection and support, or just £5 for connection only.  This is payable in six monthly instalments.

All prices include VAT at the current rate (17.5%)

Availability

In order to connect to the service the household needs to have a direct line of sight to an access point (AP) on the network (see network map for current AP locations).  Access points can be added to the network if suitable sites are available and existing client households can be converted to access points.  There is no certainty that all households can be connected to the service, but we usually find a way to connect everyone.
